Washington/Alaskan Cruise, Part 6

2023-06-25 Sunday
Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota

Traveled through Minnesota and into North Dakota today.

Yes, on occasion … I do drive the RV 😁
I just wish that Hubby would take better pictures of me (I’m not nearly as serious as I look!)!! 🤣😂🤣

We crossed paths with the Enchanted Highway in North Dakota. Geese in Flight was the only Enchanted Highway sculpture that we saw.

Some of the amazing landscape in the Badlands!

Meadowlark Beef
Medora, North Dakota

One of the best things about our journeys is being able to spin in such beautiful places.

Later, we were invited to join our hosts on their porch for a Happy Hour.

Needless to say, I could have sat here and spun for hours!!

It is such a small world … who would have thought that we would meet someone in North Dakota from Herman’s hometown?? And he knows some of hubby’s family there!

Tonight’s visitor ❤️

Spent a lovely evening spinning and enjoying the beautiful scenery!

We even had a sweet visitor. We also had a wonderful visit and conversation with the husband and wife owners of the farm!!

Aurora, Illinois

We met up with some spinning friends in Aurora, Illinois. While we were there, we had a little potluck lunch and a fabulous spin-in hosted by our friend, Staci! It was sooo much fun! Hopefully we can do it again someday!! 🤞🤞🤞

Pennsylvania and Ohio

Blue Heron Service Plaza
Sandusky County, Ohio

We stopped at a service plaza in Ohio where they have overnight parking for RVs. Shortly after we arrived and got set up, we brought my spinning wheel out to take these pictures. That’s when one of the neatest things ever happened. After only a minute or so, a man came bustling around from the other side of his camper and said, “I’ve been doing art shows for over 12 years. I even have a metal shop in the back of my rig! But I have never seen anyone spinning their own yarn in a Service Plaza! This is so cool! Ma’am, if there was a competition for the coolest thing ever, you would win hands down!!”

Of course, I was impressed that he actually knew what I was doing! 😉
