Blending fiber opens up new possibilities for creating colors. In this workshop, learn how to create the perfect yarn for colorwork projects by blending small amounts of fiber. Combine colors to create gradient yarns or mix different fibers together to create additional color effects. If you’re working on a larger project, no problem—we’ll discuss how to blend large amounts of fiber, too!

  • Supplies Students Must Bring: Note-taking supplies, handcards (wool and/or cotton), if students have them—the instructor will have a limited number of handcards available for participants to use during the workshop. Spindle or wheel for spinning samples (optional).
